3D Mark 2001 errors after OC

    Just OC'd my XP2400+ to 2.166 Ghz (13x166).

To get a "number" for the performance increse, I ran 3Dmark 2001, but when it finished the tests, I get the following where there's normally a mark:

Not enough tests run for a 3DMark score.

All game tests have to be run in order to calculate a 3DMark score.
It also shows some of the game test scores as "N/A" in the "Show Details" box.

    what does this mean?

Make sure you dont have a custom project setup, and just run the default benchmark.

Very strange. What graphics card you using ?
Have you tried updating its drivers ?

I do think its a problem with 3D mark though - all i can suggest if you dont have a custom project set is to uninstall and reinstall it.

I got a Radeon 9500 Pro, and it's got the latest drivers

What do you mean by custom project? Since in the project options there's only description.

another run just finished... and it's given me a score... how very odd :S

A custom project is where you can set up what tests to run, and exclude ones you dont want in the test.
If this has been setup it could mean that critical ones have been excluded, not allowing a score to be generated.

No, i think there is several more, but i cant say which ones as i dont have 3dmark installed im afraid.
Just use the default benchmark and it'll be fine

Yeah its only the game test that you need for your score to be calculated

is it 3DMark2001SE or not ?
might be worth getting SE if not....

Dont you get that error if 3Dmark crashes out without finishing?

What happens if you dont OC? Does your machine run other tough cpu testing programs ok? Pifast, UD at the same time as encoding DivX (sometimes upsets my box in this hot weather), Seti, memtest etc?

should make that a bit clearer:

I OC'd to 2.25Ghz, 3DMarked fine with SE. Then I put it back down to 2Ghz, and 3DMark completes the first game test, then comes up with a "Timer sanity check failed" box
