Help! Need someone to identify cable converter for inside of monitor

So I'm attempting to repair a 24" monitor. I think I narrowed down the issue to a faulty controller board and ordered a replacement, everything looks correct except the power connector for the LED backlight is using a different size connector head than my original board, both are 6 pin and everything else seems identical, so it's a converter cable for the connection I'm needing. Unfortunately I've no idea what the connection types are and I'm not getting very far searching online for what I need. I've posted some pictures below to show you the difference.

Basically I'm needing a converter cable to take the existing male end coming from the monitor (female equivalent on old board to new male end for the replacement PCB which has larger female input)

Getting pretty desperate here to any advice welcome :P

Tricky, until I saw the pics, I thought the board had a flying lead.

The board mfr might be able to help, otherwise you might need to make your own or adapt the lead that plugs into the socket. Farnell or RS would be a good place to start for the matching plug.

Can you refresh peterb, pictures are loading for me fine (checked on separate device). Also added a 4th pic showing CN804 and CN802 as per comments below.

Labelling on both PCB would suggest the circuitry is the same for both

KEY GND
LED1
LED2
VLED
LED3
LED4

I'm confident they're in the same order and going to like for like components (the circuit paths are identical).

It's just the physical head of the cable that's the stumbling block.

Looking more closely it appears the PCB has the option of using a CN804 or CN802 connection point (CN802 being the smaller version on the original board). In theory I should be able to replace the CN804 header for the CN802 if I remove it, but welding is just too precise to weld it back by hand, (1mm spacing between points) so suspect this isn't going to be an option unfortunately. Searching CN802 doesn't return much useful info.

Yes, seen the pics, and they are surface mounted, and desoldering and re-soldering surface mount components is difficult.

It can be done using a hot air gun, but it needs a very fine jet to avoide removing adjacent components, and resoldering usually solder paste and again a hot hair jet.

The product madaussie has linked to does look like the right conguration, but is a through hole mount, not surface mount, and you need both a matching plug for the new board, and a free socket to mate with the wire end, or you change the cable end. These are usually crimp connectors, so you need a crimp tool.

It might be worth looking at the Molex catalogue, then if you have part numbers, you might be able to find a supplier.

I think the chances of finding a ready made adapted are slim, other than from the OEM, so you may end up making your own.

Seems the smaller header is a Picoblade 53261 series and the larger header a Picoblade 35362 series (as per MadAussie's link)

I would have already cut the connector off and soldered the other one on by now.

But looking at the pics I would have probably gone for the option of using a blade bit on my solder station and replacing the socket as it can take either :)

Hot air wouldn't be an option with other bits so close imo.

if it comes to it, cut the plastic lid of the top, and solder the wires into the socket mount. Avoids need to remove the socket from the board?

I presume the manufacturer wasn't able to swap the board for one with the correct connector?
