    Im just too BIG

ok so the thread might be slightly irrelavent when you read the real reason of this but, it got your attention, and its slightly relevant (lie) to what im after, anyway....

    got a shuttle (sb61g2v2)

got a fx5200 in it, got 2 256's of 3200 in it, got a 3ghz celeron in it

awaiting a p4, that does 3.2ghz in the mail, 2x512 xms pc4000 stuff, and ??????? these three things will go in the shuttle

????????? = the new grfx card, which is going to be a 6600gt, but which one

well im gonna get the p4, put it in, hopefully get teh 3.2ghz or more out of it, then get the ram in, as stormpc has been assisting me (nice chap he is)

then ill beat the new grfx card in and use my shuttle as my main gaming machine

but the problem would be in my slang term for getting it in, will it fit in is what im trying to say?

can i get a 6600gt in my shuttle, and as well as this

WHICH FLIPPING ONE DO I PICK!!!!!

ok so ive narrowed it down to all the ones on the overclockers website here
ok so the basic question is, which one and will it fit?

    thanks
    Under Development...

There shouldn't be any problem getting it to fit. That Shuttle has a full size AGP port, right?

I've tested the Asus and the eVGA, and the eVGA is a little faster stock. Haven't overclocked them yet though, and the site you posted doesn't have either of those.

The Gainward Ultra is the best card there but it's WAY expensive. The A-OPEN is probably the best value but I haven't used their cards so I don't know about their quality. They're probably fine though. I'd stay away from the last 3 because of the way the memory is laid out.

Should have no problem. It may be worth upgrading the psu if you can to really make sure. See if the 250w silent one will fit.

The 6600GT from XFX is atm £40 cheaper than the Gainward... is the performance increase with the Gainward worth the £40?

    Does 2.0ns > 1.6ns make a difference?

Not much difference unless you overclock. As far as it being worth it or not only the individual considering the purchase can determine that. To me the Gainward is not the best deal but it's the fastest card in the link mr_anderson187 provided. If you're going to keep it for awhile it'[s probably worth it, but if you're upgrading again soon it's probably not.

Well I will be selling my rig for a lappy in 8 months so I guess if the performance will be about equal then is the value it will hold worth it?

Depends on who you sell it to. 8 months is a lifetime in the computer world. If I could see that far ahead I'd be making a lot more money. I'm not sure how the market will be in two weeks let alone 8 months.

Anyone after performance in 8 months wont want my rig anyway (see sig)... Though I am also considering adding some Crucial Ballistix (3200) to it?
