new case problems

hi ive just got my new case which is a Super Flower SF-464T2-BK Rhythmic Black Atx Case With Side & Top Windows and Front Cathodes. everything is installed and runs except! the front cathodes, i have no idea where to put the 3 pin socket which says power LED. in my mobo manual it says put it onto a 3 pin socket called sj1 but theres no sj1 socket on my mobo

my mobo is a pc chip m848a socket a,

one more thing i got a 2 head male/female power cable connected into the case by a green/white cable and have no idea wht it is for ? could it be for a fan?

my side pannel fan is connected streight onto a cable coming from the PSU? its working but just making sure tht its suppost to go there

any help is much appreciated

You mean a molex connector (HDD power connector)? if so that's probably the power plug for the cathodes :p Plug this into the power supply.

The thing labeled power LED will be the small LED on the front of the case thatcomes on when you switch the PC on.

Green and white is usually the HDD led cable that powers the light on the front of the case to show HDD activity, these usually go on a row of pins in the bottom right hand corner of the mobo when its in your case, refer to the manual for the mobo or exact pins it goes on.

Its the same thing with the one marked power LED, goes on the pin headers bottom right....

thanks for the helps got my cathodes working adn my room now looks like the a night club but the power led and the restart button i still cnt get to work ill have to have a little fiddle around :rockon:

also i tryed those pins at the bottom and they dont seam to be working but ill have a fiddle with them

In your manual it should tell you what pins you need to plug then into.

says i need to put a 3 pin into a spocket called sj1 and its not on the mobo =p

if the pins don't work then you got the plug on the wrong way round.

there was a diagram but wher eit was in the manual wasnt on the mobo and i checked everywher else
