Nvidia sheild - kodi/steam

I have been looking for a media pc of sorts for kodi/steam, I have been looking at shuttle xpc's and intel nuc's but saw the nvidia shield supports both kodi and steam.
Are they any good ?

It supports streaming from a computer running steam, it doesn't support running pc games itself.
