Price check - thinking about upgrading

    Hi all,

It's bonus month coming next month and I have been itching to get a new PC but I'm wondering what you guys think is a fair price to sell my old one - just the base unit not the screens. It's a bit long in the tooth now so I'm realistic but just not sure what would be fair. I'll be a bit sad to see the old fella go - 1st PC I ever built and he's worked without fail for 5 years

The specs are on the left but I'll list them here...

    Coolermaster CM690 II Advanced Case
    16GB Kingston hyperx DDR3
    i5 760
    Corsair H50 cooler
Asus P55- something or other Motherboard (I forget and I'm at work now).
    LG Blu Ray Drive.
128Gb Crucial SSD (I have 2 x 1TB drives in it but I'd probably remove these, or at least one of them anyway).
    MSI GTX 570

I guess 120-150 quid for the lot. Maybe less

I would have thought you could get £200-£250? I could be wrong.. Try comparing it to similar spec pcs on ebay.

Around £200 seems fair! Crack it online and see what happens

£150-200 I would say. The overall state (how neat is on the outside) and a nice cable management does wonders. As long as you will include pictures of it

Re: Price check - thinking about upgrading

Thanks - I was thinking about £200 myself. I had a look thru ebay at the individual parts so £120 seems very low considering the 16Gb ram would probably be worth £50 on its own.

Will probably try to flog it locally on Gumtree. Cannot be bothered with posting it.

    cheers
