HDMI video capture, pci-e card or usb?

Hey,

So I would like to be able to video capture from HDMI. I'm in the realm for a pc but not sure what to do. I'd ideally like a small form pc for under my TV so don't know if getting a mini atx with a capture card component is best or go for something like a Gigabyte Brix or Giada and add a usb HDMI port.

that's the one i got. it has a built in SDHC card reader (FAT32 only and up to 32gb, splits TS files into 2gb sections). the reviews mention crap software but i never used it connected to a pc apart to power it via USB. i just used freeware software to join/edit

so you connect to your device, set it to the right option on the back (pc/stream/cardreader) and press the button to start and then stop recording. dead simple. i've only used mine a few times but it did what i wanted. i think it was reduced from £100 to £60 when i got mine but it's a bit cheaper now. it was one of the cheapest options

OK. If it's that easy to use a usb add on I might go small and get one for when I need it. Thanks
