    Unhappy Apple Cinema Displays refresh rates....?

    doesn't say what Hz rate at the resolutions it runs
    anyone know what Hz rate it does at optimum res for 20"
    1680 x 1050 pixels (optimum resolution)
    1280 x 800 pixels
    1024 x 640 pixels
    23"
    1920 x 1200 pixels (optimum resolution)
    1280 x 800 pixels
    1024 x 640 pixels
    and 30"
    2560 x 1600 pixels (optimum resolution)
    2048 x 1280
    1920 x 1200
    1280 x 800
    1024 x 640

    Thats because they are LCD, and as such don't refresh. That is only for CRT's as they scan across the screen.

    As far as the operating system is concered all LCD's use 60hz refresh rate.
    I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

    60hz thats crap for that money surely abismal for gaming...?

    As stated above: LCD's don't refresh. It does not matter. OK!

    Yeah, every LCD will have 60hz refresh rate (although they don't actually refresh like a CRT so it makes no difference).
    I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.
