Hi,

Ours has an LED board plugged on it. The more people log into our Minecraft servers, the more LEDs light up. Controlled by a Python script which I get the kids to maintain to help them learn some coding skills.
I have a banana pi that sits in the car with a 2tb hdd running plex.
Mine are all sat gathering dust
I been looking at using it for Retropie games emulator and possibly a vpn or squid proxy.
I've got a pi2 set up as retropie - and a couple of older gen ones set up with with pi looper for use as digital signs. I've also got a kano kit for my daughter but thats waiting for some serious daddy daughter time to use.
Thinking about using one to make a ADS-B tracker

What I would really like to build would be a weather station using a Pi
i have one running Rasplex and connected to the plex server need to get a second one though for the upstairs TV
Yeah, I'm looking into that too - trying to do a windows VM, but will up/downgrade to a Pi if all goes as planned.
You might find these interesting - same blog, different content:
This= a 'simple' setup, including Pi instructions
This = how to upload the data to various flight tracking sites like flightradar24...
do let us know how it goes...
Bitcoin miner, was an old school web cam as well but I stopped it. Iam also thinking about setting it up for retro gaming
Just connected up to the TV running kodi to make it a "smart" TV as it were
im using mine as an airplay receiver and amp with the hifiberry digiamp on top of it. just listed my two old pis including the hifiberry in the classifieds, so i can buy a new pi2 which is going to be the start of the automated dog feeder. yes, im that bored.
what did you think of the hifiberry?

Also have a couple as CCTV cams, and one running TVheadend to record TV (catches progs by keyword)
Use it for office software.
Thanks for the pi-hole suggestion, would be great to be able to skip/not see youtube ads.
1) One as a bot for competing in PiWars 2015 as part of our Slice of Pi Club [Bot for competing in this years competition under way]
2) Automated Propagator, logs temp to a database on my NAS and controls a heat mat to keep the soil temp at desired level. Also has moisture sensor and sends a message to you when it gets too dry
3) Mini robot that we were trying to control with Wii mote over Bluetooth cause steering by keyboard wasnt the best
*Most of the credit must go to the wife though as she writes most of the code!
I use p-hole too. It is really good and so simple to install. The only downside for me, and this is nothing to do with pi-hole, is that my VM router does not allow me to change the DNS servers, so I have to configure each pc, phone, tablet, .... etc. I will have to buy another more configurable router and switch my VM router into modem mode.
And now we have the pi 3

Is it worth an upgrade? Performance improvements are always welcome of course but is 64-bit and WiFi support really that great?
About to commence a Kodi/Raspi build for the 1st time will report on progress

Mine was used for looking up Skyrim potion recipes and such for a while. But the monitor it was attached to died so I haven't used it in ages.
I never managed to get a good enough AC adapter to power it off a USB hub I picked up along with client devices.
