Looks like the S754 overclocks pretty well to their S939 counterparts.
This is what SS is planning to get. It's a 754 mb, not a 939.Quote:

right then - just found this...

not sure about the micron memory though - might be better to wait and find one with better memory?
Micron is the manufacturer or Crucial's normal stuff isn't it? I know they are directly connected to them.
oh? never knew that - could it be micron memory = crucial memory but OEM stylee?
Have a look at this picture and make what you like:

ooh...now thats interesting...
ah ah...just go over to crucial's website and at the bottom click 'LEGAL' and you wizz off to micron.com's site... perhaps I may buy this mobo chip and cruci- I mean 'micron' ram. :)
Erm you'll find there arn't many memory manufacturers out there. Micron is one. They make their chips for Crucial and any of the ones which don't pass all the tests get sold to those smaller companies which you'll buy from as "Generic RAM". Crucial don't directly make RAM, they just put the RAM chips onto the PCBs
Yeah just like Samsung makes the chips for Corsair, OCZ, etc. etc.
I'd jave to admit if i was going to have the choice between them i would also go A64 and save up for the extra 512mb.
Crucial is a subsiduary of Micron Technology, like Lexus is a subsiduary of Toyota.
schmunk, we have had our differences in the past but u r correct, and good example. Crucial are the company that sells retail micron RAM. Thats it. Also i have to say that 64bit does not offer much performance boost, bearly any, unless you are doing complicated geological modles. Its not like the jump from 8bit to 16bit was.
EDIT: but of course the A64 is the best CPU
