graphics cards; which one is better?

knowing that graphics cards - although given double the memory of a sister card - can end up being ultimatley slower I was wondering which is better; a radeon 9600pr0 128mb or 9600pro 256mb? both sapphire made.
I've no clue as to how to know which is better - and since they're relatively close in price i smelt a fish with the 256mb one...uses 'slower' memory?

You're right, the 256Mb boards invariably use slower memory, generally 100MHz slower if I remember correctly. Seeing as 256Mb is only really useful for high resolution gaming with AA and AF (outside of the realsm of what you'll be using a 9600 Pro for), I would say that that amount of RAM isn't going to be all that useful, and you'd gain more from picking the 128Mb board and benefitting from the higher clocked RAM it gives you.
