You could consider the Sharkoon Drakonia, currently £26 on Amazon but punches well above its weight. You can get the nicer looking black version still under your £50 budget.

Reviews are very good and it has the DPI switch and LED lighting gimmicks people seem to like (mine are switched off), and a couple of extra buttons.

Scan don't seem to sell them any more, but search Amazon for B00889SAE8

If you hate mouse acceleration/skipping like I do then get the Logitech G502 - it has one of the best sensors of any gaming mouse. The other benefit is that it has 11 buttons, whereas most mouses with good sensors will only have 5. The RGB version is more expensive but you can get the regular version for under £50 easily, I've seen it going for £30 at times.

I find that buying a mouse is a very personal thing - what you want will vary so much from someone else due to hand size, appeal of multiple buttons, click response, wheel type, weight etc. You can tell that from the huge variety of answers here!

Personally I use a Razer Deathadder Chroma - its about £50, is very well built (unusual for a Razer product!), very accurate, comfortable and it looks great too. This is the closest mouse I have owned in terms of feel to the old Microsoft Intellimouse Lasers, which imo are still some of the best mice ever released. I can't recommend it highly enough, but thats just one opinion Oh and it doesn't have oodles of buttons to get in the way, which is a huge advantage. Too many high quality mice today think you need 10+ buttons..no thanks, 5 in total will do for me.

If you go down to PC world you can usually try out a variety as they have them setup with their demo PCs - but then go and buy it from Amazon for 20-30% less
