    water cooling fans .. ??

ok this has bothered me for yrs .. why on earth dont they make a fan that spins the opposite way ? all fans hang down to expel air out of the case thru the top .. and as we know this is not good for the bearings .. any sort ..
so why don't they just do a simple thing and revearse the dam things it's not going to be hard and they would last longer .. ??? less stress on me and the fan ..
got some corsair fans cheap and they have started to click already .. sooooo anoying ..
What does it matter now if men believe or no?
What is to come will come. And soon you too will stand aside,
To murmur in pity that my words were true

To see the wizard one must look behind the curtain ....

Perhaps it's just me, but can't say I've ever had a problem with fans giving up on me. The occasional work machine's needed a change although given the age of them that's expected (8-10 years).

Perhaps the reason they were cheap in the first place?

Only fans that have karked it on me were actually vertical front intakes...

The fan impellers aren't very heavy - I doubt the weight has any substantial effect on the bearing.

A lot of people ruin fans by using compressed air or vacuum cleaners to remove dust without prevented the blades from spinning - these invariably spin the fan too fast in either forward or reverse directions, which is not good for the bearing.

Very true but most fans now, the blades come off so you can clean them.

    Which ones?
Apart from Enermax fans (which all broke on me with distressing regularity), I'm not aware of any others that have this feature...

I had six different Enermaxes over the years, all of which died very noisily.

Googled around - Seems CM tried it, Gelid, Enermax and a couple of others have ventured into it. None seemed to adopt the feature that widely.
