well a flat screen crt would be nice but at £100 mmm decide if ou need a flat screen or not. (flat screens cost more)
and considering TFT's are now £135ish, can you not stretch your budget a little?
I'd go for a LG Flatron if i were to buy a CRT again, as i've just swapped my 4 year old one for TFT's (better for logistics) they are great monitors, never had a problem with mine.
ok i could push to about 140 pounds but any1 got any specs i should look for as it will be for gaming purposes?
u could not game on a cheap tft, well if you got a £140 15" mabe, but the responce time will not be as good, u will get what you pay for.
well atm the monitor i have is like 4 yrs old and is 17 inch and i want to replace it but i dont have tht much money about 140 to spend so any1 know any good 19 inch cft monitors tht would be good for gaming plz post a link

That Viewsonic 19" is a good buy.
It has the high res and refresh rate, and the low dot pitch.
It's "shadow mask", as opposed to superior "apeture grill" which will never be within your budget.
Forget TFTs as your budget won't stretch to one even the same size as your current screen.

That Samsung is actually even better.
Avoid cheap rubbish like Maxdata Belinea or CTX by the way.

Just look around until you find a 21" CRT secondhand. I've spent the last year using a Cornerstone P1500 that cost me £80; it's not totally flat but believe me gaming on a 21" CRT > all. For £140 you're getting into the range where you could find a really pukka flat or close to flat 21" CRT with 2 or 3 years use on it.
