As far as i can tell, and have been told by corsair this: http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair...-3200xlpro.pdf is the best for me. £ thats about £190. Time to start saving. Here is the hexus review: http://www.hexus.net/content/reviews...hpc3Rvcnk9LTI=

the thing is though for a bit more i could have 2gb of normal ram, is this special ram worth it?

Don't get the PRO btw, as the LEDs don't do much for your system really, and it costs more with no extra performance.
2gb's RAM isn't really needed for todays applications unless you are into heavy access etc. Basically, they will be worse quality, and if you intend on overclocking they will be fairly crap. Unless of course you want to spend £385 on two 1gb Corsair TwinX-XL, DDR, PC3200XLPT chips. But then, where does it end?
Is it worth getting this

Over this and save £50

What is the real difference?

I've got this running at 10-3-3-2 in an SLI Delux and it's really really quick
Corsair (TWINX1024-3200C2PT) 1024MB @ £133

Thats the cheaper one i was going on about. thx olly. Anyone no if i will get a proper performance boost with the pricey one?

Are you planning on large OC'ing? The more expensive one is rated at CL2 in an AMD Dual Channel settup, whereas the slightly cheeper stuff is rated at 2.5 in the same setup. In practise the slightly cheeper stff will run happily at CL2 at 200 (400DDR) but the more expensive stuff will proably go upto 220 (440 DDR) at CL2/2.5. So it depends what you want out of it really
I want to use the ram. I may play with overclocking at some time but i will get the cheaper stuff.

A good choice
