Where to get gaming rig built?

I'm looking to get a gaming PC built - Fx55, 1gb, Asus SLI mobo (when it's available), x800xt (or x850 if it's out), 300gb HD plus usual extras.

Not sure if Im allowed to ask for recommendations on here - I'm a newbie- on where to get it built. I've looked at Wired2Fire and Whisper Computers. Are these any good or any suggestions?

Should have said - in the UK.

Ok, well that baord with that graphics card is not great. First the board is Nvidia and therefore does not like ati cards, but it should work. Second you will not be able to use it with another card for sli (only some Nvidia cards) which kinda makes that board pointless. Best get an Nvida GPU or an Nforce 4 ultra board (as nforce4 is the best)

Well you should build it your self. How much in total (ex monitor) do you want to spend. Are you into overclocking?

About £1,800. Would it be better with a 6800 ultra. I wouldn't know where to start building and not sure about overclocking. Never tried but sounds the sort of thing I'd blow up if I tried with my technical knowledge!

what case do you want? I like the tusnami Dream case, good air flow. You will also need a hell of alot of power. mmm The tagan 480w should do you.

I was looking at the TSUNAMI case. Do I need cooling for this system? And wanted it fairly quiet or I'll get grief from my girlfriend!

well if you want quiet with this hardware you will have trouble, you will have to get a new cpu fan/heatsink and GPU one.

Oh, yeah. I was told that. Not sure which way to go on that. I just want a system that's going to last so I won't need to update it next year. I thought pci-e was the best way to go.

Don't worry about having an ATi card with that board - there should be no problem - they "like" ati cards just as much as Nvidia ones!!

Sounds like it's gonna be a cracker of a PC!!
