About LinkBacksI have a DELL dimention 8100, I put in a new pci card recentally and say a strange sort of funnel covering the cpu HSF and going up to the back of the pc and exiting through another very loud fan. What is this? Its only a p4 1.7, cant be that hot?

sounds like a duct, not uncommon in Dell machines

Think thas it after a google. The fan on it seems to be making alot of noise, any way of quieting it without changing the rpm, i think it may just be a dogy fan, should i just replace it?

just swap the fan out or give it a blast of wd40
