overclocking ram asrock x370 gaming k4 advice?

sorry to keep posting on the forum im looking for some advice on overclocking my ram.
    ryzen 5 1600
2x8gb corsair vengenace led 3200 ram
    NZXT x62 cooler
    his 7950 3gb

Ive already overclocked my cpu to 3.95 with 1.35 volts which seemed quite easy to do but the ram looks a bit more complicated. currently its only running at 2133mhz. does anyone know what i can turn it up to? everything ive tried has caused it to boot loop. can i set it to 3200 and enter timings manually?

also another question. im on cpu z now and its giving me some strange readings. core voltage on the cpu is all over the place, goes up from 1700 to 1800 and even 2688 when im not even doing anything. also when i do a bench test on the cpu multi thread its only giving me 3594 and single 450. cinebench cpu test gives normal results though 1280 with all my background programs running.

OK,regarding RAM,after doing some more in depth research with Ryzen it really is quite finicky with RAM at higher speed and seems to like RAM using Samsung chips. Sadly Corsair RAM can either use Hynix,Micron or Samsung chips so you might find issues getting running the RAM at a decent speed - its best to check the RAM QVL and forums to just check what people are getting.

Now,this Reddit post is quite useful:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/Amd/comment...nfusion_eg_on/

If you run the software it should tell you what chips your RAM has.

This is the RAM QVL for your motherboard I assume:

Now look at the code on your RAM and see what it says.

Once we have these pieces of information - you can determine what speed you can run your RAM at.

thanks CAT. i tried to run that programme but i kept getting an error. on my ram it says cmu16gx4m2c3200c16r version 5.39 which isnt on the asrock list from what i could find it is hynix. is the qvl likely to be updated with the bios updates or should i just buy a different ram?

this is my motherboard not the taichi unfortunately

ok i think ive got the ram running at 2933 now with 16-18-18-18-36. i searched for corsair ram version 5.39 and it came up with Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 so i would have assumed that the one i had would be a similar model.

    on http://www.legitreviews.com/ddr4-mem...-cpus_192259/6 it said

Update 03-14-2017: AMD said that they have internally observed good results from 2933, 3200, and 3500 MT/s rates with 16GB kits based on Samsung “B-die” memory chips. Potential kits include:

    Geil EVO X – GEX416GB3200C16DC [16-16-16-36 @ 1.35v]

    G.Skill Trident Z RGB Series- F4-3200C16D-16GTZR [16-18-18-36 @ 1.35v]

    Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3200C16 VERSION 5.39 [16-18-18-36 @ 1.35v]
