Sorry Guys, but the best keyboard in town is the Logitech Ultra X..

    http://www.dabs.com/uk/channels/hard...quicklinx=39BR

It's a desktop board but with Notebook Keys, and let me tell you it's the daddy. The Notebook style keys give it 2 great properties:

    1) Because the keys start out the same width, but aren't so tall, they dont 'taper' to a small cup, rather they have a nice, large, flat surface. Makes them easier to hit with MAn-Fingers, and also makes moving your fingers across them much easier. VERY good for typing comfort and speed.

    2) Short Action. No Sponginess here! A little bit of pressure and the keys 'click' down.... not as in the noise they make, but as in they have a very fast action, and they spring up equally quicky. VERY good for gaming..... double taps in unreal? a doddle.

This is also a very compact keyboard in both height and depth, as the F keys are half-thickness and there is only a thin bezel. Don't worry, all other keys are full size. It doesnt chew up alot of deskspace like those crazy media ones....important to those of us with large CRTs crammed onto our desks.

And if you have an mx700, they are exactly the same colour combo, and look AMAZING together.

Hope this puts a few people onto this brilliant keyboard, it really does have a great feel to it. Of the 3 friends who have used mycomputer inn the week since i got this....1 has already got one and the other 2 are waiting for payday.

    easy now y'all

Are the notebook keys any good for gaming on? Or what about any of the other notebook style keyboards. Cherry also make some so they might be fairly decent.

I was thinking about the ultra X but the silver would look totally out of place I was aiming to go all black cause currently mine is all over the shop with different colours. amd it looks a tad .... silly
