    CPU Cooler

    Hi all,

A bit of a noob question, hopefully someone could help me here.

I Have ASUS P4C800 Motherboard and purchased a new CPU to upgrade. On trying to remove the old CPU heatsink/fan I snapped part of the plastic retention module that is screwed onto the motherboard. The new heatsink and fan that came with the CPU did not come with a replacement plastic retention module and I have been unsuccesfull in getting a replacement.

My question really is: are there any CPU Cooler's (for P4 S478 3.2g Prescott) that will either come with a replacement plastic retention module or any that do not use this and screw directly into the motherboard? I would like to buy a better CPU cooler so was hoping to do this quickly as cannot use the PC at the moment.

Thanks, a basic question prob but this is new to me.

    Thanks ed^chigliak,

One thing is confusing me, in the picture http://www.thermalright.com/a_images...p4-clp-exp.gif the plastic retention module is shown but doesn't seem to be included in the installl instructions. So I presume you don't need this and this looks good for what I need.
