Xbox 360 Laser Replacement Help Needed

So I have a Xbox 360 and it wont read because the lazer is kinda done its deed. its been with me for 5 years and I bought a Xbox 360 HOP-15XX for the replacement but my original had a HOP-14. So if will it work if I replace my old, original laser with the one that I bought?

I think the HOP-15XX is for the Slim and the HOP-14 are for the original both are lite-on drives but I'm not sure how compatible they are as they are different models.
