    Controlling PSU Fan Speed

    I have a 450 CWT PSU, I thought I would try and turn the fan down a notch, went into the BIOS, couldnt do it...

    Any programs out there that could do it...

    Its all plugged in correctly I believe.

    Most PSUs won't let you adjust their fans, you'll most likely have to mod it.

    Does it not also say how you do it then? Does it have 3 wires coming out to a motherboard header or what?

    No and Yes, it doesnt say how to do it, and yes it has a 3 pin to the mobo, and its connected

    Asus P4C800, its all in my sig.

    I tried that Asus Probe Utility, but that only let me check the voltage and speed, but not change it.

    Most PSUs are actually like that. With thermal control of their fans.

    Mine however does have manual control of the rear exhaust fan. It's a Thermaltake Silent Purepower 480W

    Personally I think manual fan controlled PSU's is a bad idea, what if you decide to strike up some game and forget to whack the fan up? If its a low Wattage PSU likelyhood is your PSU will sag power and the system will crash
