Can't wait for the APUs - hope for similar efficiency per core plus a IGP so they can be used without external GPUs
EDIT: I think about AMD now like I felt when Athlon XP and Athlon 64 was da-king
I was thinking of going Ryzen but I only have 144hz 1080p so - next gen it is (or later) :)
Erm, given the whole point of APUs is that they have an IGP... :confused:
I think identical efficiency plus IGP is pretty much a given. They're talking about a max 4C/8T configuration on APUs AFAIK, and we already know that fits into a 65W TDP even at high-end desktop clock speeds (from the R5 1500X), so I reckon you'll be looking at 4C/8T, 3.6GHz base for the CPU; rumours are for a 704 shader IGP (11 CUs ... although 768 (12 CUs) would make more sense) and if it's based on Vega we might see clocks well over 1GHz, all within a 95W TDP....
