    Arrow Asus Mtherboards

    Hi

Can anyone tell me what the main difference is between the A8V-Deluxe Motherboard and the A8V -E Deluxe.

Also is the Nvidia4 chipset on the A8N SLI Deluxe faster than the Viak8t800 chipset on the other two

    Thanks for your help

The former is AGP, the latter is PCI-E graphics. I have the A8V-E - excellent opinion of this board so far (only installed my system last night - all still working!). Let me know if you have any questions on the A8V-E.

    Hi Taz

Thanks for your quick response. Hope al's well with the new Mobo.

What Graphics card did you opt for.

I am on limited funds so am looking at the msi GeForce Fx5500 256Mb 8xagp card for time being.
There seems to be the 5500, V, Td and Ultra versions of this and I am not sure which to get. Do you know anything about these.

Any more advise would be welcomed

    Regards

I would avoid the geforce fx series. I dont know how much money you have but for £100 you can get a radeon 9800 pro (best buy), a bit more will get you a 6600GT - £120 - (flavour of the month) and for £50-£70 you could get a radeon 9500/9700. All of these cards will beat an fx i think
