New drivers are being released by Nvidia today which are WQHL certified

Hopefully, they'll be on the nvidia.com site by lunchtime today.

they are? i thought the 70's hadn't been 'officially' released yet, hence why on nvidia's site it still has 66.93...

    ...see

i'm not saying they don't work or anything just that nvidia haven't released any 70's yet.

it seems that gfx cards are gearing towards 3dmark-whatever and not actually relating to game/application performance. shame really. no real advantage in going up a notch on the driver ladder at the mo as there's no significant improvement.

I'm still on 66.93 - the 67.xx version drivers are very unstable for me in WoW, and I haven't even bothered trying the 70.xx.

Well technicaly they should be treated as beta but if you read:

A new Forceware with build 71.25 appeared on the web today. These drivers are date stamped at the 10th of January 2005. These drivers are WHQL (Microsoft tested) signed but do not have support for all NVIDIA graphics cards, only series 6 and a few Quadro's are supported:
