Im getting a SLI mobo the Asus A8N-SLi nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard with £250 what would the best choice be? I thought the Power Colour x800 xl cause the benchmarks where high any second opinions would be apreciated thanks.

I've heard good things about the x800 xl ....but I didn't know it was SLI :D
At the moment theres no SLI cards in the ATi camp that have been released for sale so if you want the ability to SLI then a 66/6800GT is possibly the only card to reach that price at the present time.
Getting an ATi card for a nVIDIA SLI motherboard would be... a little daft. 6600GT or 6800/6800GT IMO.
Why would an ati card be daft if i have a price range of only £250 and the ati cards are higher rated that nvidia for that price range?
Well, you'll have wasted the extra you paid for the SLI board over an Ultra board, since the Ati cards aren't SLI compatible.
However, for a PCI-E card under £250 the X800 XL is by some margin the best. It's £200 to £230 in most places. The 6800GT is about the same performance, but tends to cost £300 to £350 - more expensive than the AGP version, oddly enough.
Cause they dont do sli, its Nvidia cards only and i think only the 6800gt and 6000gt do it, not the plain 6800. Im getting an x800xl though its a well nice card.
I bought the SLI board due to a sale on a specific website. It was a decent pcie socket 939 board which is wat i wanted and for less than £100 thought it was worth the cash.
The trick is to get one 6600GT now, and another when you can afford it, presuming both are the same and support SLI (the biggest snag to be honest.)
Of course, if the board itself was a bargain then feel free to get an ATi alternative - it's just a shame to waste that SLI capability :)
My 6800gt was £270 , id go for that.
