    Modular PSU's

    Hi all

Just a quick question. I have seen a few mdoular PSU's where you can just attach the cables you need for the devices you have instead of having a huge bundle of cables and having to tuck them away in every spare area of the case. My question is, can anyone recommend a good modular 550Watt as I am in the market to replace my Ernemax 550Watt as its on its last legs and I am needing to rid cables from the case as much as possible.

    Thanks for the advice.

    Cheers

    Fox

Yeah I think they are also a great idea. From the reviews I've read the OCZ ModStream Power Supply not only looks great but preforms as good as it looks. There are a fair few reviews around, here is a link to the manufacturers page on it.

    http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...m_power_supply

It comes in a 520Watt version which should be more than enough. It can be found for around £100.00, which is good value. From what I've been told and have read OCZ PSU's are modified Tagan's, which certainly isn't a bad thing.

    Hope this helps

    Regards,

    Mark

I will have a look over it later on anyone else got any other suggestions? or is the OCZ the pick of the bunch?

There is the ultra x-connect, but i'm not sure if you can buy one with a PFC - ie a legal one.

The Antec NeoPower looks a great PSU, although it's 'only' 480w, I can't imagine you'd need more than that in a PC.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

The ultra x connect are releasing a PFC one, read about it in kustom forum somewhere I am sure.
