Just ran it on the parents pc and, apparently it is 12757% better than a p3-450 w/256mb sdram. I know its gonna be slightly better, but, come on, somebody's slightly exaggerating their own products methinks

thats not terrible considering my system cost about 1/3rd and is over 12months old

anyway mines going in to a nice coolermaster case, alienware aint got a touch on them

This is such bs anyway. The graphics card makes all the difference now anyway. for the extra you would spend on an alienware system you buy a rad 9800pro and have a pile of cash spare

BTW the 445% is on my work PC, my home PC was closer to the performance. Note the configuration in the screencap is not my home PC (2.53Ghz vs 3Ghz, GF4mx vs GFti, 845 vs. 875, etc)

I found my way in before you posted the corrected link & I was testing against an AMD sytem (as mine is too).
Funny thing is that's with a GF3 Ti200 installed (the 9700 is currently in an older PC).
I reckon that this PC cost 1/3 of that of the Alienware it beat!

It's an American site - I don't think trading standards could do much & I don't see the performance comparison on the UK one!
