    OC problem with ASUS A8N-SLI

I cannot get even a very low OC out of this at the moment, i.e. even 10x205 is not stable. Memtest runs fine (will run OK at a considerably higher OC), but 3DMark05 (and EQ2, so it's not just a benchmark problem) gives a BSOD (usually early on in Test 4) with the message BUGCODE_USB_ERROR.

I am not the only one to experience this, I've come across three others with the same problem on different setups.

Changing BIOS versions, voltages, etc. has no effect on this.

    Specs: Winnie 3200+/Enermax 480/XFX 6800GT/Crucial Ballistix 2x512/SB Audigy 2/Diamondmax 10 250Gb

    Tried loosening the memory timings?

I'm pretty sure it's nothing to do with memory timings. Firstly the error happens on Auto memory settings at 10x206. Second memtest runs fine at 10x220 on Auto (possibly higher, but I've not tried it). I tried looser settings at 10x210 early on, and also got the error.

Actually at 10x205 it crashes 3DMark05, but doesn't get a BSOD. EQ2 gets it though, after an hour or two.

No RAID. Just one HD on the NVidia Controller. Silicon is disabled.

Have you knocked the HT speed down to 4x from auto as you'll be going over 1000 which makes it unstable

Found out what it was. Scanner on USB port was somehow causing this failure. Unfortunately after clocking successfully at 10 x 220, when I upped to 10 x 230 it caused a massive HD crash. Anyone got a good HD recovery tool?

BTW I am aware of the HTT issues and the need to lock PCI/PCIEx.
