Shuttle + nVidia 6800??
Would I be able to run a 6800 card in my Shuttle SB51g?
I've just upgraded the CPU, so it's now running 1gb RAM, P4 3.06HT and I would like an upgrade from the 9800AIW:SE thats in there.
a) Would the PSU cope?
b) Would a 6800 fit?
Recommendations?

a) Yes
b) Yes
The card I have in my Shuttle is the same size/shape as a regular 6800 and with the o/clocking applied will be drawing similar or greater amount of juice - this is with an Achme 200w PSU.
I am personally interested in the Gigabyte Fanless 6800, which apparently can be made to fit with a bit of pushing and shoving... If you Google for it there are reviews and there is a (Sudhian?) forum thread about putting one in a Shuttle.

Excellent, looking like a possibility then.
Should bring my system bang up to date almost which ain't bad considering most of it is over 2yrs old.
If ya find any more info schmunk, let me know.

Hmmmm, next question is:
6800, 6800GT or 6800Ultra???
Looks like there is no problem fitting as long as the hsf combo is "fairly" standard.

The Ultra is not likely to fit since it is a dual slot cooler
-
Double-slot coolers (e.g. Arctic Cooling) will not fit in a Shuttle without using a hacksaw...
However, I think cards with nVidia standard coolers will fit - but you may need to upgrade your cooling to accommodate the GT/Ultra without serious earache from the ICE fan...

OK, so 6800GT it is.
XFX or Gigabyte or ???
Both of the cards above seem good. I'd prefer 2xDVI, but I can't seem to find one apart from the double Gainward :(
