MX700 Buttons main buttons wont work | PLEASE HELP ME LADS

Used my logitech mx700 for 3 years now, no problems what so ever, but now for some reason, when i left/right click the "click" doesnt always register, so u can imagine how frustrating it is in games . Do u think its a hardware problem or software maybe?

If its a chargable one, then I suggest you leave it to charge extra long. Its possible the battery isn't storing the power as much as it used to.

If its a battery one, replace the batteries.

Try it on another PC, see if you get the same problem, and also, check to see if any dust etc is clogged under the buttons, that sometimes happens, and causes the button to operate weirdly, as you can't push right down on the pressure pad without forcing it

thanks mate, tried other batteries, same thing. It is possible to take the mouse apart, but knowing bugger all about mice, i duno if i should do it. I dont spose u happen to know if the mx700 would be ok if i undid the screw behind the batteries, and took the case off?

Well, on my Microsoft Bluetooth mouse (the original one), I can click the mouse buttons up by forcing them, and then just click them back down again.. See if you can do that on yours...

Also, does anyone know how to fix a mouse wheel? I kinda dropped my mouse down the stairs one too many times. Now, the little clicking spring has come loose I think, and the wheel just moves 3 times as fast as it should.

seemed to have fixed it, just need a few more blows . Dont know about ur spring m8 soz. Havent used wheel for yonks

Does anyone know if its possible to open up the mx700, and whether there is any risk in doing so to the mouse?

I suggest u try it on another PC before u set the screwdriver on it.
