Hi,

New oldish boy here.

As the titles says (And I know gaming is a big market)
Where are the 3D Modelling and rendering benchmarks? Or do I need to wear my glasses more often and search the forums?
Believe me I've read countless articles which have been no help really and my head hurts.

The reason I ask is because I want to upgrade my retired X99 gear and was thinking the AMD Threadripper 1950x might just be the upgrade I need.
I'll be running Windows 10 with at least 64GB of DDR4 RAM along with a decent GPU, still torn between AMD and NVIDIA on that front but I'll get there...
Will be using 3DSMax or Maya, Redshift render plus Photoshop and a host of other graphics intensive software.

Will a Threadripper cut the mustard or will an X299 setup suffice?

Most of the general reviews also include a blender bench which might be of use.

You'll find 3d modeling benches on cpu reviews generally not gpu
Mainly because gpu acceleration is very dependent on the software&plugins used.
