    Shuttle as a server

Iam currently developing a home network system and want to build a system that i can run all day everyday without a lot of noise.

This brings me to the shuttle family, i want a shuttle that can run a AMD 2800 chip (333mhz) and generic ram (PC 2700) i would like to have onboard graphics if possible and i will be fitting my own sound card so a PCI slot is needed, no fancy add-ons like AGP or SATA are required to be honest.

    Reccomendations are welcome

    Cheers

Check out the Shuttle sites. They list the various models.

But to be honest, unless you are really strapped for space, like you live in a closet or perhaps a VW bus, a regular ATX tower is probably a bettter solution. With Shuttles, you are limited on space for drives and expansion cards. Due to their small size, they will be noisier than a comparably equiped tower to which you can add large slow fans, noise absorbtion materials, etc.
