Trying to fine maximum CPU stress program.

I remember reading about a CPU stress program that made the CPU run 4-5c hotter than Prime95. But now when I want it I can't seem to find it.

I've used stresscpu and temps do not get as hot as prime. So far SuperPI and Prime torture test seem to be the best.

Anyone know which one program it is?

if you have a P4C or E with Hyperthreading enabled, you need to run two prime95's, prime95 doesn't load two threads, only one.

Then try running something else, like 3dmark'05 to finish it off.

ive noticed that prime95 doenst 'really' push the a64 with CnC enabled to the maximum as well, when a CnC software checker is loaded, i can see the frequencies and voltage fluctuating when prime95 is running. when i try with other stressing apps [seti, folding] the cpu speed and voltage are at a maximum throughout the entire duration of the program being run...

frequency and voltage fluctuations are a sign of stress.. when running prime95 use the 'in-place large TTFs' option for maximum CPU tourture.

I found a program called Cpuburn. Running it at high priority brings the system to a halt and the CPU temp was 2 oC higher than prime95 torture test.

Toast only managed the same temps as prime95.
