    Review sites

    Hello:

It is difficult , at least for me, to know what sites are reliable and user-friendly (as opposed to producer-friendly) hardware review sites. So, I am on a quest to identify 4-5 sites that I can rely on (in addition to Hexus, of course) for hardware reviews. The reasons one needs several are, of course, that some sites do not have reviews of the hardware one is interested in, and one needs to have several reviews to compare in order to arrive at a good choice.

In order not to be totally "theoretical", let me list three other sites that I believe might be candidates:

    - Tom's Hardware

    - Wirecutter

    - Lifewire

I would be most obliged getting some tips on what I believe is a most important issue.

    Re: Review sites

Computerbase.de,PCGH,and Hardware.fr tend to find things many other websites miss, but they are not English language websites. Digitalfoundry is very good and finding areas of games which are either CPU taxing or GPU taxing,as many websites fall into testing pointless areas, and Hexus tends not to be quite neutral when it comes to hardware companies.

Ars Technica. Not a 'reviews' site exclusively, but I've used them for many many years. Great for in depth reviews and articles. Just a shame the UK arm wound up a few months ago.

    Hardocp.com and its forum Hardforum.com

There's also a few Youtubers who review hardware like Bitwit, Jayztwocents, LinusTechTips and HardwareCanucks if you want visual reviews, but they do more new product news than reviews

    Re: Review sites

I think 4-5 sites is too small a number if one wants good, broad and reliable coverage, but maybe that's just me. Either way, these are the ones I mainly read:

    HardOCP
    TechReport
    AnandTech
Ars Technica (for news rather than hardware reviews, as mentioned above)
    ExtremeTech (for more news)
    Bit-Tech
    Gamer's Nexus
    OC3D
    Guru 3D
JonnyGuru (for the only really excellent PSU reviews around)
    Wccftech (for rumors)

Well, a good selection for the OP, so probably time to draw a line under it.
