    Performance comparison Alienware

    http://ccon.madonion.com/servlet/Ind...enware/welcome

Compare your system to an alienware. My home PC was almost as good as their top end system. But I bet a lot of people with ATI9800's will be higher than the new alienwares.

Thought it would be funny when they're trying to sell you a $2800 system that is only 90% as fast as your own.

I can't remember where I saw it but there was a comparison between a £1000 Dell machine and a £1500 Alienware machine. Unsurprisingly, the Dell machine won.

Oh, and am I the only one who thinks that those cases are extremely vulgar?

link doesn't work for me either, their cases are rather brash, i wouldn't say i didn't like them but there are definately other cases you can buy off the shelf that i prefer.

i'm pretty sure my £600 pc could give even the most expensive alienwares a good run for their (large sums of) money!

Ok, Sorry try this.... http://www.alienware.com/Configurato...de=SKU-EXTREME then click the link that says "How does this system peform?" in green near the upper left side of the page. (under the price!)

I want to see what it says when people with a 4Ghz/ATI9800 system runs the comparison!! LOL and the Alienware is slower. Do they say "Sorry you're already faster than anything we sell, please go somewhere else!!" LOL!

Or do they keep the "Add to Cart" even though their system is slower?

Umm, doesn't that say that the alienware is 445% faster than yours?

In fact, yes it does, I just ran it on my mum and dad's old heap and the score came out with the alienware 2047% faster..

This one came out with the alienware 257% faster (which somehow I very much doubt, it looked at pure clockspeed and the fact mine idents as a radeon 9500 because I've not flashed the bios yet..)

It seems that the AW is this much better than my pc, allthough I'm taking this with a pinch of biased salt:

    My Result

Do you have a screencap of it saying that. Thats what I was looking for. Preferably from someone with a 4Ghz+ etc... that blows away the AW.

Ummm.... thats their fastest system!! What else should I "view"?

It's asking me to install some thing on my computer that I don't want on there.

    Oh well never mind.

Whatever. 345%, 445%, it's still faster than his machine which was the general point of the post.
