nForce 4 Increases NVIDIA's Market Share

Many people (myself included) have recently purchased an nForce 4 based motherboard. SLI or not, nForce 4 is a great performing chipset for socket 754 and 939 and despite the need for a PCIe graphics card, sales have been good. As a result, NVIDIA have issued a press release today, announcing the growth of their AMD64 market share.
[NVIDIA] today announced that the Company shipped more than one million NVIDIA nForce4 media and communication processors (MCPs), the industry’s most feature-rich core-logic solutions for AMD64-based computing platforms, since its availability in December 2004. In addition, the demand for NVIDIA nForce4 SLI technology is exceeding the Company’s high expectations, accounting for more than 25 percent of all NVIDIA nForce4 MCP shipments to date. This demand has resulted in the fastest sales ramp the platform group at NVIDIA has ever experienced and helped NVIDIA grow its share of the AMD64 market to 48 percent, as reported by Mercury Research for the quarter ending December 31, 2004.
Now all we need is a new SoundStorm solution and NVIDIA will be laughing. Check out the press release here.

soundstorm was great on the nforce2 boards...if they could only release updates for nforce3 and 4 boards to have it too then it would be untouchable!
