    Motherboard Identification help

I'm trying to identify a motherboard in a fairly modern hp compaq PC. Tis P4 and the only telling ID I can find on the mobo is this:

    Intel FW82801EB

What I'm really after is a bios update. Can anyone help?

phanteh, the number you're quoting is for part of the Intel chipset, the ICH5 Southbridge, and all that tells us is that it's likely to be an i865 or i875 based mainboard. It's entirely possible being that Compaq are a LARGE OEM that the board is proprietary.

What's the exact model of the PC?

Unfortunatly it's just a hp compaq (literally the only thing on the front). I very much doubt that a bios update will solve the problem anyway - the boss has ordered me however...

There's no stickers on the back or anything? It should say something like "Presario" of "Evo" or something, or give a serial number, product ID etc.
