Apparently AT and TR has applied all the latest Spectre/Meltdown security patches. The AT results are interesting.

Re: Ryzen 2000 series review thread

Before the reviews it was suggested the 2700X would be the smarter buy because of the higher base clocks and bigger cooler. Having watched OC3D's video it clear they weren't impressed with the stock cooler. Fan is noisy when overclocked and they didn't like the deep channels either side of the heatpipes, instead of the usual completely smooth contact surface on most coolers. I imagine you need to apply a fair bit more thermal paste to get a good contact.

Wish there was more investigation of the power curve of Ryzen 2xxx. Gamers Nexus points out you only need 1.175v @ 4GHz for a 2700X. Compared to 1.425v @ 4GHz for a 1700! Underclocking the 2700X might reveal a better sweet spot for temps/voltages. Most of the reviews I've seen have just rammed 1.42v into the 2700X then pointed out the power draw is higher and they were hitting the thermal limits of the Stock cooler in testing. Would be interesting to see if they pull back to say 1.375v. The 2700X might be able to hit the same speeds with lower power draw and better temps.

This also makes me think the 2700 could be the better buy. With a mild overclock you might be able to hit that sweet spot around 4Ghz on the included cooler. The 2700 reviews could be very interesting.

Computerbase.de has tested some more games like PUBG,Fortnite and WoW and some of the increases look impressive over Ryzen MK1:

Re: Ryzen 2000 series review thread

    2600+2700 review from OC3D:https://overclock3d.net/reviews/cpu_..._7_2700_review

    2600 overclocked to 4.16GHz and the 2700 4.19Ghz.

Most interesting was the comparison of the stock coolers of each CPU when overclocking: https://overclock3d.net/reviews/cpu_...2700_review/14 . The Wraith Spire cooler for the 2700 was able to keep temps at 71c even when overclocked.

EDIT: From the video it seems some results were taken using the Corsair H110i GT cooler. Not exactly clear which results are on that cooler or not.
