    Problem with my new computer...

Right, I've just put together my 64 bit AMD shuttle, I installed windows & everything seemed fine. However when I restart the system, it will not boot from the HD. I am getting this error:

DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER

Any help please guys? The HD is 160MB and worked fine in the last comp.

    Thanks in advance

yep, only have one copy though, do you think it could be something wrong with the copy?

So the installation goes fine, but then it always comes up with that error message?

Are you sure you've set the boot order for your devices correctly?

After it boots up into Windows, is there anything you do e.g. install drivers? The only thing I can think of right now would be if you kept getting a virus from somewhere, which did the same thing every time.

Have you got a Floppy Drive in when you restart?

That shouldn't matter if his boot order is what he said.

It does appear to be a BIOS setup issue. Try clearing the CMOS and then setting the BIOS to Failsafe Defaults. Make sure you have no floppies or CDs in the drives and try booting.
