So I bought a Sony external DVD-RW drive hoping i could take it apart and put a HD in

So i do so, and when i start it up XP tells that that the DVD drive is plugged in...

I think the actual enclosure must have some kind of dedicated settings just for the one drive

Any input on this? Its a lovely enclosure, but looks like it'll only ever work with the DVD drive that it came with, would love to be able to get it to interface my HDs
