Hi

I'm new to this forum, I have just built a new rig and I was just thinking maybe I could get a few comments or advice regarding my O/C.

SYSTEM
COOLERMASTER CAVALIER 3 (120mm REAR, 80mm FRONT)
FREEZER 64 COOLER
DFI LAN PARTY NF4 ULTRA-D
AMD64 3200+ (STOCK 2.0GHZ @ 200X10)
2x512MB CRUCIAL BALLISTIX DDR500 (2.5-4-4-8) IN DIMM 2 & 4
RADEON X800XL (STOCK 398.25/492.75)
200GB MAXTOR SATA 7200 8MBC
NEC DVD/CD COMBO
Viewsonic VX912 19" (yes a tft for gaming!)

I have set the timings in the bios to suit the ram (default was all auto)
CPC - ON
CAS - 2.5
trcd - 4
trp - 4
tras - 8

The build went ok, the only slight problem was the DFI sound daughter board that sits perpendicular to the mobo conflicts with the 120mm rear case fan. Solution was to remove a small section of the plastic casing surround on the fan.

I have managed to get:
240mhz X 10 with LDT at X 4 (2.4ghz & 960mhz HT (max 1000mhz)
CPU Core 1.36v
Idles around 35c up to 40-41c under load.
prime 95 runs fine for hours.

Does this seem like a reasonable o/c for this setup? I was hoping to get 250x10 (2.5ghz) really, to bring the ram up to it's rating with a 1:1 divide, but when I take it to 250X10 windows won't boot. I tried upping to voltages a bit, but it just does not seem to want to go there? It's not the ram I don't think because I tried 250X9 (2.250ghz) and again boots fine. Could it be I just reached the max on the cpu?

3DM03 - 2.0ghz 10,100 (stock graphics)
3DM03 - 2.4ghz 10,713 (stock graphics)
3DM03 - 2.4ghz 11,463 (432/540 graphics)

Incidently at 245X10 it booted up, and ran prime 95 for about an hour before windows shut down and rebooted again?
