just ran a SiSoft Sandra and got a wraning saying my CPU voltage is too low, wtf? I've not touched it from day one but if its been running low I dunno why. Apparently its meant to be up at 1.4v - and as you can see I'm at 1.36/1.375 (does it matter that it goes up and down a bit?
so anyway, is this bad and how do I go about fixing it? some bios shuffling no doubt? :groan:

well, i upped the voltageto get 1.424v and as far as I can tell that should be ok. don't want to cook anything!!

mine 3000 at 2.5Ghz runs at 1.392-1.408v and is fine , if i up it to 1.42 it also ups the temps by around +5.C!!
it should easily run at 1.8ghz at 1.37v no problems ,if it doesnt crash at it dont change it
could be that the mobo undervolts slightly or cpu-Z is misreading the volts....... if it's running ok I would leave as is, with the gaming and most probebly benchmarks you have been running if it was a prob you would know about by now.

a CPU that runs stock speed at a lower voltage than spec is a good thing
it means if you dont overclock you can lower your temps by downing the volts, just remember to Prime95 it to make sure its still stable under load.
I used to have a 1.2 TBird which is supposed to use 1.7v, but it'd run all day long with 1.4v
I ran a 1400 Duron at 1600 with 1.4V. Load temps were just a few degrees over ambient

ooh...ok, all sounds good. I'm at work now so can't do much about it but I'll see what happens with Prime95 at the voltage it likes to sit at. I've not noticed any grumblings from doing stuff, tho I did notice when I was playing UT2004 the other night I got down to 27 fps (read here - http://forums.hexus.net/showthread.p...d=1#post405528 ). Now call me picky but with what I have I shouldn't really be going that low should I?!!

Not sure, mine run at 2.5Ghz 1.4v with np. On a DFI board. At stock it even run well at 1.25, an i've seen one running at 1.2 np.
well it seems voltages on the 64 may not account to much then...! it'll even run off less than an AA battery. if all else fails one day at least I could try that! lol

Yeah, if you can find an AA battery that'll be happy supplying 30+ amps. Good luck!
It would be technically possible to run an Intel Dothan at 500-600MHz with an AA battery or two though.
You could put 100 batteries in parallel! ;D
