I cannot add much here as it's mostly covered.
One thing I will add is a warning about clear nail varnish, it is very good at forming a barrier around the chip on the die, however some are conductive.
The problem is that it depends on the formula used and the specifics are not often given, the thing you want to avoid mainly is toluene (also may be listed as toluol) but that's not the only thing.
Recommending a brand is also tricky as they often change the formulation with no notification.
On the plus side the majority are not an issue, just something to be wary of.
I've kinda decided it's well beyond my skill level. I may at some point try to find someone locally to do it for me. Thanks for all the helpful comments.
Used it several times with no problems at all. Just don't get careless with it.
