Is this an okay gaming pc for $700?
I was searching around to see what kind of PC I could build for 700 bucks and came across this
https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Z3wgnH. To be completely honest I have never built a PC before and not totally convinced on this build. Are there any parts you would swap out? I am not really sure where to start
Re: Is this an okay gaming pc for $700?
Power supply is nice. The 3GB version of the 1060 can be a problem though as you really want at least 4GB, better to have a 6GB version or an RX 580.
That could cost a bit more, but swapping the hard drive for a 7200rpm model and not bothering with the small SSD should free up some money, maybe go quad core.
Which games are you intending to play, and what monitor resolution?

The picture does not include the code for the Core i5 8400 discount.
The total is $733.78 plus you will get $20 back from that once you use the rebate card for the PSU.

Thats a sweet PC for the money, only thing is i would personally save up a little more and get the 1060 6GB £50 more for better minimum frames and looks like 10fps better in some games and that is a lot when your going from 30-40fps.
