Re: Address Label Printer
Interesting about selling them on. Are you buying second hand? Might try and do this.
Anyway, I picked up a Brother label printer for £20 from Ryman a year or two ago, and it works fine. It's a thermal printer so the ink is in the label. Prints black and white. Comes with easy to use software, just print and tear off label.

Works on Windows 10 just fine. USB attached.
Re: Address Label Printer
You could also consider sheets of A4 self-adhesive labels if you've already got a regular printer.
I use ones from Avery, they do different label sizes and offer a MS Word tool on their website which does a good job of generating A4 layouts for their labels.
I've used Avery labels in both laser and inkjet printers, both work just fine - even when feeding the same sheets multiple times because I only ever print one or or a few labels at a time.
Re: Address Label Printer
Depending what you prefer, you could use a direct thermal label printer or a thermal transfer label printer. The first one is the most cost efficient option, because you don't need an ink ribbon, since the heat of the label printer will print the necessary information on the label. Then, you don't have to purchase an ink ribbon while it is also easier in use. Though, take into account that you also have to purchase direct thermal labels in order to print the necessary information on the special coating of the label.
I personally prefer a Dymo labelwriter 450. This is a direct thermal label printer and the corresponding labels are also made of direct thermal materials. Specifically, these labelwriters are cheaper than most label printers, while the quality is also very good.
I purchased mine here with the corresponding labels:

Thanks! Brother QL500A is wonderful
Re: Address Label Printer
I use avert sheets to print mine. 100 sheets in the pack, 8 boxes per sheet. They have smaller ones as well. Useful if you're posting regularly to same address.
