    Wow,a Chinese company has actually made custom motherboards to upgrade many old Thinkpads with newer generation CPUs like CFL and PCPER tested one of their modified X210 laptops:

    Fascinating idea.
    Since I already have a T540P (which I upgraded to 1080p IPS), of didn't hold that much for me, but the old keyboard would be nice. As would 16:10.
    Somehow funny that the article gets the model number wrong the whole way through. Guess the night is odd, but the X's went X200, X201, X220, X230 for Core 2, Arrandale, SB, IB whereas the T's went the expected T400, T410, T420 etc.

    The "X62" model by 51nb, the chinese company, has been tested by notebookcheck. Can't attach the link though as I'm a new member here but can easily be found through Google
