want to upgrade my machine and want to know a good price for this little bundle:

abit nfs-v.2 mobo
athlon 2500xp - unlocked
512 mg (2*256) ddr 400 ram - twinmos matched pair
160 gig sata maxtor diamondmax 8mb cache hdd
40 gig ide hdd - for windows
radeon 9800 128 pro graphic - sapphire
NEC 2510a dual layer dvd burner
SONY 16x dvd rom drive
audigy 2 s/card
logitech usb web cam
2 speakers -old
GNR 19" flat screen crt monitor - i think it's under 2 yrs old. excellent condition
2 hdd cooler fans
graphics card is mounted with a arctic cooler fan system
cpu has a aero 7 lite processor cooler

Looking to upgrade either bit by bit or sell that as a job lot and buy a new system.

Just sell the mobo & CPU & buy an AMD64 board & CPU as everything else should work.

If you split it you will probably get a lot more interest for things like the 9800 pro and the CPU.

You'd probably get more for the CPU / RAM / mobo combo elsewhere though. I don't think £130 is unrealistic for fleabay prices (though I haven't actually checked that)... Especially as the XP2500+ is unlocked (and cpucity are still selling XP-M 2500+ CPUs for £60-ish, 512MB PC3200 (single stick) is ~ £45 new (cheap as branded RAM gets) and a NF7-S v2.0 is around £50 IIRC so £100 is more than reasonable here but ebay might get a bit more)... As for a full system £400 is probably more reasonable here (and splits seem to go better)

I'd go with that kind of idea but go nForce 4 / socket 939 / PCI-E....

So sell CPU for £40/45, RAM for £30/35 and 9800 Pro for £90 or so... That would at best give you £170 cash and then a nForce4, 939 3000+ (winchester) and say a PCI-E 6600GT would set you back £300-£350 so you'd basically have to spend about £170 again... I would also think about selling the RAM and getting 2 x 512MB sticks while you're at it

£450 for all that sounds very reasonable,pc's on ebay that sell for around £400-£450 dont include a 9800pro they usally include a low spec card like a FX5200 or a 9200.

cheers guys. i don't like the ebay route, but pricing everything up may be the way to go, or i could always trade + cash if peps are interested.

ric: i'll bare that in mind. the cpu is running at 3200 speeds with the fsb changed correctly, not really o/c it.

also, where's a good place to buy parts except ebuyer and what boards are good NF4. are the abits as good as my nf7 s.
