    I love 4Mbit BIOS chips

    Why?

    Because you can boot with this:

    PHP Code:
    $s = new signature();
    $s->sarcasm()->intellect()->font('Courier New')->display();

    Very nice indeed Kez.

    Give it a few years and we will be playing 3D games in our BIOs while Windows eXP loads

    or maybe not.

    Well there's just the small matter of learning x86 assembly language, but I'm sure I can manage it... NOT.

    Assembly language isnt too hard to get.....we had to learn and write simple programs for it in A level computer.....

    Writing a game in it tho, I think most of the community would be screwed there

    I've written in assmebly before... but it was for a very simple emulated environment - four registers, about 64 bytes of memory and a handful of outputs. Not exactly Athlon 64.

    Assembly is quite fun.. When i was leanring I made a very small boot floppy that had some very basic graphics effects (like fire). Problem wasI didnt know how to access teh keyboard or set the graphics mode (this was not in DOS but booting from a blank floppy with only my very basic code)..

    Anyway I have a DFI UltraD, not really layed around with it butHOW do you change the boot logo on them?

    I used ASUS's MyLogo program - but basically all you need is a program that edits the logo in the BIOS file before flashing it. There are lots of tools out there to do it.
