    best P4 mobo?

don't know a lot about pentium motherboards / processors (well, tbh know nowt about them, complete pentium n00b - dedicated AMD fan here)

gonna be building a system for a mate soon & he's undecided on which route to go down - has always had pentiums previously & i'm not sure i can talk him round! so just in case i can't, whats the best P4 board around at the moment - cost isn't a factor (within reason obviously)

its fairly obvious the abit NF7-S is the daddy of AMD mobos at the moment cos everyone who's used one rates it highly so thats sorted if we go AMD, but is there a board similarly well thought of/well featured etc amongst pentium fans?

also, anything in particular i should know about P4 CPUs, any particular one better than others etc?

all suggestions or input gratefully received...hopefully won't need them cos we'll be going AMD, but wanna be prepared just in case

np, Ive got my eyes on it for a christmas upgrade, im on a BE7-RAID atm 2.4B @ 2.8.

Might see what happens with the Athlon 64 yet... I fancy some mental overclocking.

The Max3 looks great, and I can say that I recently built one around an IC7-G which is steady as a rock and fast as hell, so I'd go with the Abit as well.
